This week’s accomplishment: Bergin had a productive week with three races. She took first at both the High Desert Cross Country Challenge and the first Desert Sky League cluster meet of the season. She set the course record at the Horseman’s Center Park course with a time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds at the HD Challenge. She helped the Cougars to a second-place finish in the Red Varsity A race, taking 21st with a time of 18:27.4.
What do you like most about your sport: I like the competition and getting personal records.
How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: I’ve run cross country since fifth grade and I did it to get in shape for soccer.
Pregame ritual: I don’t have a pregame ritual but each race I try to improve my time.
Most memorable sports moment: Going to State as a freshman.
If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: I can’t think of anyone who I’d want to be, but I’m happy with myself.
Something most people don’t know about you: I’m bad at swimming and even worse at bowling.
How would you spend $1 million: To travel around the world.
Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world: Hawaii
If you had an extra hour every day, how would you spend it: Sleeping
