This week’s accomplishment: In his first varsity start at quarterback, Widener rallied Apple Valley from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to open the season with a win against Silverado. Widener finished with 233 yards passing and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 97 yards on 13 carries and scored twice more on the ground.

What do you like most about your sport: I like the relationships that I build during the season.

How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: I’ve been playing since I was 10. My dad encouraged me to play.

Pregame ritual: I don’t have one.

Most memorable sports moment: Winning a youth football Super Bowl when I played for the Seminole.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: Will Ferrell because he is a funny guy, and I look up to him.

Something most people don’t know about you: I can clap with one hand.

How would you spend $1 million: I would buy a whole bunch of shoes.

Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world: I would go to Hawaii.

If you had an extra hour every day, how would you spend it: Sleeping

What superpower do you wish you had: I wish I had super speed.
