WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) – A man and woman have filed a lawsuit against Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green in connection with a supposed physical dispute that occurred in Michigan last summer, resulting in criminal charges against the player.
Celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom, daughter of Gloria Allred, announced Monday that she was filing a lawsuit against Green, alleging “assault, battery and related claims based on his alleged acts of violence against a young man and woman.”
The purported victims held a news conference Tuesday morning at Bloom’s Woodland Hills firm about “physical assault, bullying and misleading statements made by Mr. Green,” Bloom said in a news release.
On July 10, 2016, Green was arrested on misdemeanor assault charges for an alleged altercation in a bar in East Lansing, Mich.
He reached a plea deal a few weeks later in which he agreed to pay a $500 fine in exchange for avoiding jail time.
