It’s the feel good video of the year that has everybody talking and now, it’s time to meet the hero.
Storm, an English golden retriever, did the unthinkable while out on a walk with his owner Mark Freeley.
A baby deer was seen struggling in the waters of Long Island Sound and without hesitation, Storm jumped into the water to save the fawn.
Freeley watched the whole thing unfold while capturing the rescue on his phone.
“Storm just plunged into the water and started swimming out to the fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and started swimming to shore,” Freeley said in an interview with CBS 2 New York.
As soon as they got to shore, Storm laid the fawn down and began nudging it to make sure it was going to be okay.
CBS 2 New York last reported that the fawn is being kept at an area animal rescue until it can get back on its feet.
Good boy, Storm!
