An autopsy is set to be done on a badly decomposed body that was found in the Angeles National Forest early Monday afternoon.
Authorities found it just north of La Cañada Flintridge, close to Angeles Forest Highway at mile marker 20.79.
CBS Los Angeles reports that around 12:15 p.m. Monday afternoon Los Angeles County firefighters and sheriff’s deputies found the body after they were sent to a report of a car over the side of the highway.
According to California Highway Patrol, they didn’t find a vehicle when they arrived, but instead found a “badly decomposed” body of a male.
Other information about the body, like age etc, wasn’t immediately available.
