Don’t Miss These June Events Across The High Desert

Summer brings us the best of the High Desert with community events happening all around town.  Here are some things you and your family can enjoy in the month of June.

June 6, 2017 to July 29, 2017 – Professional Baseball is back in town at Adelanto Stadium 12000 Stadium Way. Our new High Desert Yardbirds opening night is June 6. Gates open at 5:00pm.  Bring the entire family out for a night of fun and baseball.  Join Route 103 in support of our new team.  Go to www.highdesertyardbirds.com for the schedule of games and special event nights.

June 9, 2017- Route 103-KVFG, The BCC and Rod French present the Burgerlicious Cruise Night at the Burgerlicious in Apple Valley. 21044 Bear Valley Road. From 5:00pm to 8:00pm enjoy over 50 classic and specialty cars on display, music, 50-50 drawing, lots of raffle prizes, great food and VVAPL will have furbabies there to find their forever home.  All raffle money, 50-50, and donations go to the Victor Valley Animal Protective League.

June 10, 2017Summer Hops Brewfest & Wine Too 11:00am-4:00pm for VIP, 12:00pm – 4:00pm for general public at Lions Outer Hwy 18, between Flathead and Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley. So Cal Micro Brew tasting, live music, Wine, food trucks, raffles, and The Cocoon Art Galllery.

Movies In The Park is back at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, 15833 Smoke Tree Street in Hesperia. Bring the family out on select Saturday’s to enjoy a family friendly movie for FREE all summer long. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets and come early as the park fills up fast. June 10– feature movie is Moana. June 24-feature movie is Sing.

 Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group Sunset Concert Series Bring the family out to the Civic Center Park Amphitheater in Apple Valley 14999 Dale Evans Parkway every Thursday Night except July 6 for a FREE summer concert. Concerts start at 6:00pm. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for seating, but please leave your pets at home. June 15- features “Atlantic Crossing” (A Rod Stewart Tribute Band) June 22- brings “The Basix” with Top 40/Variety June 29- enjoy some Jazz/R&B from Ray Brooks & The Bluzmasters

June 10- GHHS Cougar Cruise  7:00am to 9:00am rolling time, 9:00am to 11:00am-judging time, 1:00pm Is cleanup.  Granite Hills High School 22900 Esaws Road. Apple Valley.  Enjoy entertainment by Olympus-food vendors- 50/50 raffle- enjoy classic, modern, modified, off-road cars and trucks.  Proceeds benefit the GHHS Football program/Uniform drive

June 17- Victor Valley Volks Classic Car Show “Save The Nuts & Bolts” 8:00am to 10:00am car/vendor check in, 12:00pm to 5:00pm Car Show, 5:00pm to 11:00pm is a special concert by Latin Express, all happening at the Green Tree Inn, 14173 Green Tree Blvd. Victorville.  Music, food, vendors, trophies, prizes, raffle prizes, 50/50. Help support the fight against Testicular Cancer.

June 17- Mountain Lakes Resort 7th Annual Charity Car Show The show will be from 10:00am to 3:00pm hosted by Mountain Lakes Resort located at 277 North Lytle Creek Road, Lytle Creek, CA. Gates open at 8:00am. Enjoy food-music-vendors-a 50/50 raffle and raffle prizes along with Piston & Rod Trophies

June 24- Forsyth Hot Rod Supply 7th Annual FREE Car Show   9:00am at 17320 Eucalyptus St, Hesperia. Open to all vehicles, street rods, race cars, lowriders, motorcycles, off road, custom trucks/cars and rat rods. Top 10 awards, food & drink, music, dash plaques, 50/50 drawing and raffles by Bush Whackers

June 24- High Desert Angels Classic Car Show  10:00am to 2:00pm at the Rusty Bull Roadhouse, 13685 John Glenn Road, Apple Valley. Proceeds benefit local Families in need. Raffles, 50-50 drawing, awards

June 24- High Desert Vintage Tin 40th Annual Fun Run  10:00am til ??? at 10089 Cerra Vista Road in Apple Valley. there will be Hotdogs for lunch. For directiosn call Mike M. at 760-217-1431

Summer Pool Session is open Swimming pools are now open for the summer. Stay cool in the pool with community open swim. Take swimming lessons or rent out the pool for a pool party.  Check your local city and town website for dates and times for open swim.

Music In The Mountains  Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater hosts a summer concert series. On June 24th enjoy the entertainment of Kenny Metcalf as “Elton”, A tribute to Elton John, with Mia Karter and The Winehouse Experience, a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse as the opening act. Parking and ticket gates open at 5:00pm; all concerts begin at 6:00pm.
