40 Vehicles Got Flat Tires Due To Spilled Load Of Nails On 91 Fwy

The California Highway Patrol says an estimated 40 vehicles wound up with flat tires on the eastbound 91 freeway in Corona Thursday, after running over a spilled load of nails.

The Press Enterprise reports that according to California Highway Patrol Officer Florentino Olivera, the incident, which happened around 11 a.m., left multiple vehicles stranded from Weir Canyon Road to McKinley Street. That’s about a 10 mile stretch.

Reportedly the spilled load of nails were accidentally dropped by a construction crew vehicle.
