Metallica Wants To Have A Show That’s Out of This World… Literally

In 2013, Metallica set a world record by performing in all seven continents in one year. Next on their list, put on a show in space.

According to Team Rock, led guitarist Kirk Hammett says he’s always wanted to play “on he space shuttle, maybe the moon.”

“I don’t really want to commit to anything other than to say that if there really is a possibility for this to happen, then we will happily be at the very front of that line,” drummer Lars Ulrich added. “There’s a few feelers out to a few people – nothing worth giving away yet. The headline ‘Metallica promises to play in space’ can certainly be derived out of this wishy-washy answer!”

Metallica will begin the North American leg of their WorldWired tour beginning on May 10 in Baltimore.
