The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department along with the Chino Hills Police Department announced that a 15 year-old boy from Utah has been arrested on allegations that he called in a bomb threat to Chino Hills High School a couple of weeks ago.
According to CBS Los Angeles, officials say that just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, Chino Hills Deputies responded to the High school after a phoned-in threat was received.
A search of the campus for anything suspicious began right after the school was put on immediate lock-down.
As the search was performed all students were moved to a safer location. Authorities also closed the roads around the school during the search. Thankfully there weren’t any suspicious objects located.
Investigators discovered during an investigation that the suspect who they believe called in the threat was a teenager from Utah.
Yesterday, in Utah, authorities arrested the suspect, who will now be charged with a Utah penal code of “threat of terrorism.”
Officials haven’t disclosed what, or if any, connections the boy has to Chino Hills High.
