In a wild weekend of Game 1s we had three upsets, some prolific performances, and more storylines than we know what to do with. Here’s a look at the best, the worst, and the weirdest from the opening weekend of the 2017 NBA playoffs.

BEST: John Wall, cyborg ninja

Wall took over after a lackluster Wizards first-half performance against the Hawks hinted of an upset. He finished with 31 points off assists, second only to LeBron James in Game 1s. Wall looked next-level, the one-man difference in the Wizards looking pedestrian and being the one higher seed in the East to actually impress.
