According to CBS Los Angeles, sheriff’s deputies in San Bernardino County are on the look out for a man who they say escaped from the back of a patrol car after slipping out of his handcuffs.

A released stated that around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, March 26th, 31 year-old Charles Brown, was arrested for transportation of narcotics and was taken to the Victorville Police Department to be interviewed by deputies.

At about 5:30 p.m., the suspect was sitting in the back seat of a marked patrol car and was able to slip one hand out of his handcuffs and escape on foot. With the assistance of a Sheriff’s Aviation and a K9 unit, deputies immediately began a search of the area.

Charles Brown is described as a 31 year-old African American male adult, with short black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of the letter “B” on the bridge of his nose between his eyes and was last seen wearing black sweats, white t-shirt and black Nike Air Force One Shoes.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Brown. If you have any information, please call the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
