This week’s accomplishment: Kocab set the Serrano discus record with a throw of 183 feet, 10 inches at the Redondo Nike Invitational on Friday. He broke Karl Gehrke’s record of 178-11, which was set in 2007.

What do you like most about your sport: I like how unique it is and how important your technique is.

How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: This will be my sixth year. I got into it through my brother.

Pregame ritual: Pray

Most memorable sports moment: Breaking the school record.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: J.J. Watt because he is a beast.

Something most people don’t know about you: I don’t sleep.

How would you spend $1 million: I would spend it on bubble gum.
