Adelanto Father & Son Accused Of Extensive Mail Truck Robbery Ring

Police say that a father and son team from Adelanto are suspected of stealing bags of mail from moving postal trucks for more than a year.

According to police, Kory Parker and his son Kory Parker, Jr. have been arrested in heists that started in Los Angeles in 2015, then in 2016 the areas included Victorville, Murrieta, Pasadena, Phelan, Colton and Rialto. Also, $400,000 in bags of cash from businesses also being carried on the trucks were stolen over the span of about a year.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the Feds explained in a 20-page affidavit that postal employees would leave from their area post offices with trucks filled with bags of mail and would soon find the locks cut, back doors open and bags gone.

There were reports from a driver in Victorville and one in L.A. of someone riding on their trucks.

In the affidavit there was a photo of an incident where a man was actually hiding in the Victorville post office before he stole a bag of mail.

Police believe that a postal employee may be involved in the thefts due to the detail of the routes would be information only an employee would know, but as of yet there haven’t been any charges filed against anyone from the postal service.

Other details in the affidavit outlines how officers found a U.S. postal polo shirt, blue ski mask and large bolt cutter in the Kory Parker’s, (the dad’s) truck.

According to authorities the affidavit described an Instagram account belonging to the son, Kory Parker, Jr. that showed pictures of luxurious life. One filled with cars and clothes and even the purchase of a new traveling video game business.

Father and son, Kory Parker and his son Kory Parker, Jr are in jail without bond.
