A fire at a Disneyland parking structure prompted evacuations and damaged several vehicles.
Authorities don’t believe any foul play is to blame in the two-alarm blaze that happened Monday evening.
CBS Los Angeles reports the fire started just after 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Mickey and Friends parking structure on Disneyland Drive in Anaheim. When Anaheim Fire & Rescue crews responded they found several vehicles on fire.
Firefighters worked for about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire in the evacuated structure. According to AF&R seven Disney cast members had to be treated for smoke inhalation and four of those members were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fire department said four vehicles were completely destroyed, and another four endured major damage. There were reportedly another one to three vehicles that received minor damage from the fire. The vehicle damage total was an estimated $180,000.
The lot was finally reopened to the dozens of Disneyland visitors who waited outside for several hours to retrieve their vehicles.
Authorities don’t believe any foul play was suspected in the blaze. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
